KYIV, Oct 4 – Ukraine has suspended the injection of natural gas into its underground gas storage (UGS) facilities, according to the operational data of JSC Ukrtransgaz.
Ukraine added 13.94 million cubic meters to the storage facilities on October 1, 610,000 cu m on October 2 and the number has dropped to zero on October 3, the data show.
The suspension of the injection was influenced by the stoppage of the transit of natural gas through Ukraine in the direction of Hungary by Russia's Gazprom from October 1, 2021, since the import of gas from Hungary to Ukraine took place as a virtual reverse flow.
