KYIV, Sept 24 – Incumbent President Volodymyr Zelensky would garner more votes than any other possible candidate in a presidential election if one were held in mid-September, as seen from the findings of a nationwide public opinion poll conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
The poll shows that 33.3% of respondents who are determined to vote and who have firmly decided for whom to vote would cast their ballots for Zelensky. Another 16.8% of such respondents would vote for former President Petro Poroshenko, who currently leads the European Solidarity party, 10.3% for Batkivschyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, 9.5% for Opposition Platform - For Life party leader Yuriy Boiko, and 8.7% for the Strenth and Honor party leader Ihor Smeshko.
