KYIV, Sept 6 – Ukraine has completed harvesting early grains and legumes, the harvest amounted to 44.8 million tons from a total area of 10.2 million hectares, which was a record figure in the entire history of the country, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food said on the website on Friday.

According to the ministry, 32.8 million tons of wheat, 10.94 million tons of barley, 2.8 million tons of rapeseed, and 0.57 million tons of peas were threshed. The largest yield of wheat was in Khmelnytsky region (6.52 tons per ha), barley – in Kyiv region (5.72 tons per ha), rapeseed – in Khmelnytsky region (3.5 tons per ha).
