KYIV, Aug 18 - Ukraine has more than doubled the amount of coal the country will have to accumulate ahead of the high demand season to avoid potential shortages, the Energy Ministry said Wednesday.

Ukrainian power plants will have to accumulate 3.05 million metric tons of coal by October 15, when 6-month high-demand season is due to begin, up from 1.41 million mt previously scheduled.
