KYIV, Aug 12 - Electricity production in the integrated power system of Ukraine in January-July 2021 increased by 6.2% compared to the same period in 2020, to 90.293 billion kWh, according to the Ministry of Energy's recent data.

According to the calculations of Interfax-Ukraine, nuclear power plants (NPP) for the seven months increased electricity generation by 7.2% - up to 48.434 billion kWh. In particular, production at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 19.47 billion kWh (more by 21.4% compared to January-July 2020), Yuzhnoukrainsk – 10.812 billion kWh (down by 0.5%), Rivne – 11.583 billion kWh (more by 4.2%), Khmelnytsky – 6.569 billion kWh (down by 8.5%).
