KYIV, Aug 12 – Ukraine may only meet its carbon reduction goals within the Paris Agreement with international support in financial sector and security, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Oleksiy Liubchenko said.
Ukraine pledged to cut the carbon levels 35% from 1990 level but may only achieve 37-42% reduction on its own, he said.
"The government approved the following decision: we take to the world a commitment to reduce emissions to 35%, in turn, the world provides us with financial and security support," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
