KYIV, Aug 3 – Ukrainian banks in January-July 2021 earned a total of UAH 30.1 billion of net income, which is 26% more than in the same period of 2020 (UAH 23.8 billion), according to data published on the website of the National Bank Ukraine (NBU).
The net income in the second quarter rose 150% on the tear to UAH 19.1 billion.
According to the report, the income of banks for the first half of the year decreased by 3.5% against the figure for the same period last year, to UAH 124.13 billion. At the same time, commission income increased by 33.9%, to UAH 41.724 billion.
