KYIV, July 13 - The volumes of own sugar available in Ukraine will be enough to fully meet the needs of the domestic market before the beginning of the sugar beet processing season in September, to create stocks of this product it is enough to import and process no more than 100,000-120,000 tons of raw sugar.

Such data are presented on the website of Astarta agricultural holding, the country's largest sugar producer.

The company clarified that it continues production of sugar at Yaresky sugar plant (the village of Yaresky, Poltava region) from 60,000 tons of raw cane sugar contracted in May 2021, currently reaching a capacity of 820 tons/day.
