KYIV, July 12 – To maintain the stable operation of domestic steel sector, Ukraine must introduce a temporary ban on exports of scrap metal until the end of 2023, the Ukrmetalurgprom steel industry association suggested.

Ukrmetalurgprom filed a request to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in a letter dated July 8, signed by president of the association Oleksandr Kalenkov, a copy of which is at the disposal of the Interfax-Ukraine agency.
