KYIV, July 9 - The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on July 8 agreed with the proposal of Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva for a new general allocation of SDR (Special Drawing Rights) in the amount equivalent to $ 650 billion.
"The IMF Executive Board yesterday concurred in my proposal for a new general SDR allocation equivalent to $ 650 billion – the largest allocation in the IMF's history – to address the long-term global needs for reserves during the worst crisis since the Great Depression," Georgieva said.
