VILNIUS, July 8 – Ukraine has recently completely opened the natural gas market, the next step is to open the electricity market and connect the Ukrainian energy system to the European ENTSO-E, said Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

"Reform of the energy sector and environmental protection includes liberalization of the electricity market, simplification of the grid connection system, a gradual transition to market prices for electricity and the monetization of subsidies for vulnerable segments of the population," he said at the 4th Ukraine Reform Conference in Vilnius on Thursday.
