KYIV, July 5 – Ukraine is working with German politicians to try to persuade Germany to change policies on a number of issues affecting Ukraine, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has said.
"We understand that the Chancellor [Merkel] is leaving. Now, when I was in Berlin just a couple of weeks ago, practically every interlocutor told me: 'Dmytro, if you want to change something in German politics, then you must wait for a new coalition and hope that it will turn out in your favor.' Therefore, of course, now you cannot say exactly what the German policy will be. But we are working to change Germany's position on a number of issues," Kuleba told reporters on the sidelines of the Ukraine 30. International Relations forum in Kyiv on Monday.
