KYIV, June 24 – Ukraine’s largest steel producer Metinvest has sent a request to the European Commission to obtain clarification on purchases from the Belarusian Automobile Plant (BelAZ), which fell under European sanctions.

As Metinvest CEO Yuriy Ryzhenkov said in an exclusive interview following a press conference on the company's 15th anniversary in Kyiv, in connection with the imposition of sanctions on two Belarusian enterprises – MAZ and BelAZ, a request was sent to a number of structures, including the European Commission.
