KIEV, Oct. 11 - Ukraine needs up to three years to prepare its economy for transition to world market prices for natural gas, energy and fuel minister Yuriy Boyko said Wednesday.

The comment comes less than week after Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych said Ukraine will be forced to pay up to $210 per 1,000 cu m of natural gas starting in 2008.
