KYIV, June 1 - The Business Activity Expectations Index, calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), rose to 50.5 in May from 46.9 in June, rising for the second time in a year above the equilibrium value, according to a survey of enterprises conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine and posted on the regulator's website.
"In May, companies across most of the surveyed sectors reported optimistic expectations of their business performance – the indices of the industrial and services sectors moved above their neutral levels, while that of the trade sector came close to its neutral level," the bank said.
