KYIV, May 27 – The revocation of the zero rate of excise tax from solar and wind electricity producers will provoke investors in such renewable energy generation facilities to initiate new arbitration proceedings against Ukraine, managing partner of IMEPOWER consulting company, which also operates in the "green" energy market, Yuriy Kubrushko said.
"The government's initiatives to eliminate incentives for wind and solar farms to pay the excise tax on 'green' electricity exacerbate the crisis in the renewable energy industry and provoke investors to start arbitration proceedings against Ukraine, as they lose even more hope that the state will fulfill its promises and comply with current legislation," he told the Energy Reform Internet portal, stressing that Modus Energy International has already started a full-fledged arbitration against the state due to the reduction of feed-in tariffs.
