KYIV, May 26 – Holding "green" auctions in 2021 is very important for the further development of green energy in Ukraine, Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Energy, Housing and Utility Services Andriy Gerus has said.

"I will appeal to Haluschenko [Energy Minister Herman Haluschenko] so that we hold the first auction this year and see how it works. Because then the mechanism of these auctions can be extended to other auctions, including new generating capacity," he said during an online meeting with businesses hosted by the European Business Association on Tuesday.
