KYIV, May 14 – After increasing the key policy rate in April to 7.5%, rates on hryvnia loans from banks increased as compared to the first half of April from 11.9% to 12.5%, Head of the Council of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Bohdan Danylyshyn said.
The increase of rates on hryvnia deposits over the same period was less distinctive and amounted to 0,2 percentage points (pp), he said.
"The cost of hryvnia corporate loans of banks from April 16, 2021 increased compared to the first half of April from 8.1% to 8.6%, for all loans in national currency – from 11.9% to 12.5%. Key rate transmission of NBU in the rates of banks on hryvnia deposits was less expressive: for the period after April 16, rates on hryvnia deposits increased from 4.3% to 4.5%," he wrote on Facebook on Friday.
