KYIV, April 29 – The Cabinet of Ministers will propose to the Verkhovna Rada to strengthen anti-smoking legislation, in particular to introduce a number of bans on production, trade and import of cigarettes, as well as to equalize the status of electronic and conventional cigarettes.

The changes to some laws of Ukraine on adaptation of legislation to the requirements of Directive 2014/40/EU of the European Parliament and the Council (on protection of human health from the harmful effects of tobacco) were approved by the government at a meeting on Wednesday.
