KYIV, April 28 - Andriy Kobolev was dismissed from the post of head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny on Wednesday after the national energy company had reported massive losses in 2020, the government’s press service reported.
Yuriy Vitrenko, who held the post of acting energy minister, was appointed to replace Kobolev as head of Naftogaz.
The reshuffling underscores a long-time rivalry between Kobolev and Vitrenko over the future of Naftogaz and the country’s energy sector reforms.
