KIEV, Oct. 5 ??“ The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) plans to boost financing under its projects in Ukraine in 2006 and 2007 by 50%, EBRD President Jean Lemierre said during a meeting with President Viktor Yushchenko, the presidential press service reported on Thursday.

Lemierre stressed that the points at issue are the introduction of energy-saving technologies, the rehabilitation of oil facilities (thermal and hydropower plants, small-sized power plants), municipal projects, as well as projects for the development of Ukraine's transport infrastructure.
