KYIV, April 13 – Energoatom expects that the service life of the majority of operating nuclear power units can be extended by 10 years to 60 years, Acting President of Energoatom Petro Kotin said.
"We expect that most of our power units will work for at least 60 years,” Kotin said. “As for 80 years, perhaps by that time it will be decided that it is cheaper to build a new power unit as a replacement than to invest in extending the life of old capacities."
