KYIV, April 7 - Ukraine intends to commit to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels, Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Roman Abramovsky has said, presenting the draft of the Second Nationally Determined Contribution.
"The draft of the Second Nationally Determined Contribution to the Paris Agreement has been formed. It provides for a 65% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 from the 1990 level," Abramovsky wrote on his Facebook page.
At the same time, he noted that Ukraine "is finally ready to present its climate goal and show increased ambitions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions."
