KIEV, Oct. 5 ??“ The switching of the Our Ukraine faction into opposition to the governmental coalition and its plans to withdraw its ministers from the cabinet will not significantly affect the hryvnia exchange rate, according to bankers interviewed by Interfax-Ukraine.
Kiev-based TAS-Investbank CEO Elena Oliynyk said the intention of the Our Ukraine faction to withdraw its ministers from the cabinet would not affect the hryvnia exchange rate, as the ministers from the economic block of the government would not be replaced. The National Bank of Ukraine has several times proved its ability to protect the hryvnia exchange rate from fluctuations during political turmoil, she said.
