KYIV, March 19 – Ukraine and Lithuania take the same position regarding the preservation and expansion of sanctions due to the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov said.
"I am very pleased to state that we have a common view of Nord Stream 2. Unfortunately, we cannot regard it as the economic project [...] Ukraine has always been and remains a reliable and responsible gas transit country. However, the supplier country uses this not as a business or economic cooperation, but as a mechanism to put pressure on Ukraine," Razumkov said at a meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda.
