KYIV, March 19 – Germany's Siemens Energy and the Ukrainian energy holding DTEK, with the support of the governments of the two countries, have agreed on a pilot project for the production of hydrogen fuel in Mariupol (Donetsk region), which on March 19 will be on the agenda of the economic forum in Berlin with the participation of Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Handelsblatt newspaper reported.
According to the information obtained in government circles, the project involves the construction of a hydrogen production plant on the basis of one of the metallurgical plants of the Metinvest mining and metallurgical group, a sister holding of DTEK.
