KYIV, March 4 – As of March 1, 18.03 billion cubic meters of gas were stored in the underground gas storages (UGS) in Ukraine, which is a record level of filling over the past 10 years, exceeding last year's figure by 13%.
Gas extraction during February also became the highest in the previous eight years, reaching 2.9 billion cubic meters, which is 2.5 times more than in February 2020. For 16 days in a row - from February 6 to February 21, more than 100 million cubic meters of gas were taken from gas storage facilities every day, the website of Ukrtransgaz said on Wednesday with reference to the company's operational data.
