KYIV, Feb 11 – Ukrainian banks saw UAH 41.3 billion in net profit in 2020, which is 29% less than a year earlier, but in the fourth quarter the decline was 63% due to increased contributions to reserves, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) said on Thursday.

"The coronavirus crisis has worsened the financial condition of banks, but less noticeably than expected in the spring of 2020. The number of unprofitable banks has not increased – eight," the regulator said.
