KYIV, Feb 2 – Some 87% of Ukrainians believe that the increase in gas, electricity and heating tariffs is unreasonable and has nothing to do with the current economic situation, according to results of a sociological survey conducted by the Social Monitoring Center on January 15-25.
According to results of the poll presented at the press center of the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Monday, February 1, 87% of respondents believe that the increase in tariffs for gas, electricity and heating, which began to operate in January 2021, is unreasonable and has nothing to do with the current economic situation, 6% consider the increase in tariffs justified and dictated by the economic situation, and 7% found it difficult to answer the question.
