KYIV, Jan 20 – The government will take over management control over key state-owned power companies, including nuclear power generator Energoatom and power grid operator Ukrenergo, to ease integration with the European Union, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said Wednesday.

The development is part of a plan that is important in Ukraine adhering to the Third Energy Package, which regulates the EU’s energy markets, and help Ukraine’s plans to integrate the power markets, he said.
