KYIV, Jan 20 – The level of coal stocks at the thermal power plants (TPPs) of PJSC Centrenergo from November 1, 2020 as of January 11 of this year has decreased almost 90% - from 336,000 tons to 40,000 tons, the company said on its website on Tuesday.
"In connection with a significant increase in the volume of electricity production at the Centerenergo TPPs, at the command of the transmission system operator NPC Ukrenergo, which amounted to 129% in November and 156% in December, in excess of the volume determined by the forecast balance of electricity, the company was forced to spend an additional 128,000 tons and 233,000 tons of coal, respectively," the company said.
