KYIV, Jan 19 – Artyomsol, the largest producer of salt in Central and Eastern Europe, reduced output by 41% on the year to 1.18 million metric tons in 2020, citing weather, COVID-19 lockdown and growing global competition.

The company reduced by almost 50% to 762,000 mt production of unpackaged road salt that is used by de-icing trucks to melt snow on highways and streets due to warm winter in 2020.
