KYIV, Jan 4 – Ukraine’s business outlook has slightly improved in December, but still remains at the level where pessimistic expectations among businesses prevail, according to a monthly survey by the National Bank of Ukraine.

The Business Activity Outlook Index increased by 2.1 percentage points (p.p.), to 45.5 in December, reversing 4.4 percentage point decline in November and 1.6 percentage point drop in October, the NBU said.

The index at below 50 indicates that pessimistic outlook prevails among businesses.
