KIEV, Sept. 26 - Ukraine needs a gas transportation consortium for regulating the gas market, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Viktor Chernomyrdin said in an interview with the journal Narodny Deputat forwarded to Interfax by the Russian embassy in Kiev.

"International entities of the consortium type are necessary for regulating the market. No one wants to pay tomorrow more than it was yesterday. The demand does not reduce, and world market prices do not reduce either," he said.
