Ukraine’s power output drops 4.5% on year in January-November

KYIV, Dec 28 - Electricity production in Ukraine in January-November dropped by 4.5% compared to the same period in 2019, to 133.523 billion kWh, the Ministry of Energy has told Interfax-Ukraine.

Nuclear power plants for 11 months of this year reduced electricity generation by 7.3% compared to the same period last year, to 69.242 billion kWh. In particular, production of electricity at Zaporizhia NPP amounted to 24.528 billion kWh (30.3% less compared to January-November 2019), Yuzhnoukrainsk NPP – 17.489 billion kWh (11.8% more), Rivne NPP – 16.923 billion kWh (0.5% less), Khmelnytsky NPP – 10.302 billion kWh (51.2% more).
