KYIV, Dec 14 – The Finance Ministry will finance the cost of free vaccination against coronavirus (COVID-19) disease and inpatient treatment for it in 2021, Head of the parliamentary committee on public health, medical assistance and medical insurance Mykhailo Radutsky said.

"The Finance Ministry will fulfill the three requirements of the nation's health committee on financing health care in 2021. First, the government will fully finance the free vaccination of the population against COVID-19. Secondly, the National Health Service of Ukraine receives all the necessary funds to settle accounts with medical facilities dealing with the treatment of patients with coronavirus. In addition, the Budget Code will retain the requirement to fund the medical guarantee program in the amount of at least 5% of GDP," he wrote on his Facebook page on Monday.
