KYIV, Dec 14 – Ukraine has agreed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 64% in 2030 vs. the benchmark 1990 level to fight climate change along with other European nations, President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said Saturday.
This is an ambitious target as Ukraine’s original goal was to reduce GHG emissions by 40% in 2030 vs. 1990 level.
Zelenskiy joined the International Climate Ambition Summit along with French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Boris Johnson along with other 70 world leaders.
