KYIV, Oct 30 – WindFarm of Ukraine and PowerChina signed a contract to build an 800 MW wind farm that will cost more than $1 billion in the Donetsk region, Board Chairman of the Ukrainian Wind Energy Association (UWEA) Andriy Konechenkov said Friday.

The project will not seek higher feed-in power tariffs from the government and will for the first time in the industry directly compete with conventional power generation systems.
