KYIV, Oct 30 – Ukraine’s transactions via payment cards did not slow down and even accelerated this year as coronavirus pandemic and lockdown had undermined most other businesses, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.
Oleksiy Shaban, deputy governor of NBU, said the transactions increased to 55.2% in January-September vs. 49.7% in the same period last year, adding that the growth rate of non-cash payments remains quite stable and is increasing by an average of 5 percentage points per year.
