KYIV, Sept 28 – Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that over the past five years the number of cybercrimes has increased 2.5 times, and cyberspace has become the fifth area of warfare, in connection with which a large recruitment of specialists is announced to the Cyberpolice.
"Unfortunately, Ukraine has found itself on the front lines of this new war. Aggression from the Russian Federation occurs not only in the form of military operations, information companies and economic sabotage, but also in the form of a tough cyber war," the minister said during the online conference Digital Transformation of the State: Prospects and Risks of Cybersecurity" on Friday.
