KYIV, Sept 24 – The Rivne nuclear power plant (NPP) is inspecting the equipment of Holtec International (the United States) for the transportation of fuel assemblies to the territory of the central spent nuclear fuel storage facility (CSFSF).

"For the first time, spent nuclear fuel (SNF) will be shipped to the central spent nuclear fuel storage facility from the VVER-440 reactors of the Rivne NPP, therefore, active work is underway to modernize and test the equipment involved," the plant said.
