KYIV, Sept 8 – The Kyiv Regional Administration, the Telas Ukrainian Association of Telecommunications Operators, as well as mobile operators Kyivstar, Vodafone Ukraine and lifecell signed a memorandum of cooperation to accelerate the development of high-quality mobile communications and broadband Internet access in the region.

Kyivstar said on Tuesday that the parties plan to combine forces in the following areas: coverage of Kyiv region with 3G and 4G mobile communications both in rural areas and on highways; identification of public-private partnership opportunities in the development of mobile broadband Internet access in the region; ensuring access of mobile operators to infrastructure facilities during the construction of mobile networks in the region.
