KYIV, Aug 31 – The energy partnership will allow Germany and Ukraine to expand and make more efficient cooperation in the field of energy and the environment, said Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy of Germany Peter Altmaier during the signing of a joint intergovernmental statement on the start of an energy partnership.

"The Energy Partnership provides both parties with an important basis for political dialogue in the energy sector. This will allow us to further expand our cooperation in energy and climate protection and make it more efficient," said Altmaier, quoted by the German Embassy in Ukraine in a press release distributed on Thursday.
