KYIV, Aug 28 – Minister of Infrastructure Vladyslav Krykliy and acting Under Secretary of the United States for International Trade Joseph C. Semsar have discussed further partnership between the countries to renew the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia.

"The physical and moral aging of the rolling stock of Ukrzaliznytsia is one of the most pressing problems of the company today. The current technical condition of the passenger rolling stock does not meet modern requirements for the implementation of comfortable passenger transportation and the quality of services provided to the population. Therefore, in order to obtain support in the form of government guarantee Ukrzaliznytsia has developed an investment project for the purchase of 40 new diesel locomotives," the press service of the ministry reported, citing Krykliy.
