KYIV, Aug 25 - ERU Trading purchased natural gas in Greece with its subsequent delivery through Romania to Ukraine.
"Now these are test supplies, which are aimed at the needs of the domestic market. But the main goal of this project is the possibility of further access to the Revithoussa LNG terminal, which increases the diversification of gas supplies on the European continent and strengthens Ukraine's position as an Eastern European energy hub," the group said in a press release.
According to the managing partner of ERU, Yaroslav Mudry, the Greece-Romania-Ukraine gas transportation corridor makes it possible to become part of the Three Seas Initiative (http://three-seas.eu), which develops the vertical direction of fuel transportation.
