KYIV, Aug 20 - Ukraine, within the framework of a memorandum with the European Union on receiving macrofinancial assistance worth up to EUR1.2 billion, pledged to transfer centralized purchases of medicines, medical devices and personal protective equipment to the state enterprise Medical Procurement, to create an independent supervisory board there, and also to conduct tenders for the selection of heads of the State Customs and State Tax Services.
According to the text of the memorandum posted by MP Danylo Hetmantsev, Ukraine also pledged to develop the concept of an electronic tax audit, start its public discussion, and also improve the value added tax (VAT) monitoring system.
