KYIV, July 27 – Ukraine will not be able to provide itself with domestic tests for COVID-19 due to their insufficient quality, however, the global shortage of reagents for conducting tests for coronavirus restrains an increase in the volume of PCR testing for diagnosing the disease, Mykola Skavronsky, commercial director of Synevo, said.
"Today, not only in Ukraine, but all over the world, there is a shortage of reagents for research on COVID-19. In this situation, world manufacturers of reagents first provide their local markets and then only begin to supply them to other countries. Only after the developed countries are provided, these test systems will be able to reach us," he told Interfax-Ukraine.
