KYIV, July 24 – The World Bank in Ukraine expresses deep concern over the fire in the house of Vitaliy Shabunin, the head of the board of Anti-Corruption Center public organization, and calls on the Ukrainian authorities to ensure an impartial and prompt investigation.

"The World Bank joins the EU, UK and other international partners in expressing its deep concern about the fire at anticorruption activist Vitaliy Shabunin's home and the threat to his family. We call upon Ukrainian authorities to ensure an impartial and expeditious investigation so that those responsible can be held accountable," the World Bank in Ukraine said in a statement posted on Facebook on Friday morning.
