MOSCOW, July 14 - The Nord Stream gas pipeline that runs from Russia to Germany across the Baltic Sea was shut down for scheduled maintenance on Tuesday, data from European gas transport operators showed.

The two strings of the pipeline, which began to be called Nord Stream 1 after the start of construction on Nord Stream 2, will be shut down for 12 days, until the morning of July 26.
