KYIV, July 8 – Ukrainian banks reduced lending in May due to the coronavirus lockdown, while the share of non-performing loans had also declined, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), reported Thursday.
The banks’ loan portfolio decreased by UAH 8.72 billion compared to the previous month, to UAH 1.132 trillion in May, including the non-performing loans (NPL) by UAH 1.14 billion, to UAH 561.66 billion, the NBU reported.
